Wilderland has two websites, one always-on, higher resolution website that is heavier to run, and one experimental, situated site, that is solar powered, and in the Nephin Park
The solar site might not always be on or available, it also has other quirks, and will be slower. Adjust your expectactions for this Permacomputing + Small Web alternative.
Wild Nephin National Park is located on the western seaboard in northwest Mayo, Ireland. This area is a haven for nature to thrive and covers a vast 15,000 hectares of unspoilt wilderness, dominated by the Nephin Beg mountain range. It is also home to Mayo International Dark Sky Park, one of the few places left showcasing some of the darkest, most pristine skies in the world.
Starting at daybreak, Anne Marie Deacy will offer us a small sonic glimpse into this wonderfully wilder land and its diverse habitat, through a live streamed deep listening of the Dawn Chorus for Reveil 2025.
Listen to the live sound stream
The 12th edition of the Reveil broadcast will take place on Dawn Chorus Day, over the first weekend in May.
Reveil is a collaborative sound and radio project that circles the Earth on live audio streams at daybreak. Over 120 streams from a wide range of environments will join to create the 25+1 hr loop. Reveil appears on Wave Farm in Acra NY, Resonance Extra in London and a group of arts and experimental stations around the world.
Listen locally and/or listen and chat on the Reveil soundstreams.
